Aveng Grinaker-LTA Mechanical & Electrical DSE Fabrication is the structural steel fabrication division, providing an integrated service comprising structural steel design and detailing, procurement, fabrication and painting of heavy, medium and lightweight structures and platework, including autofab girders, chutes, bins, ducting and shop assembled tanks.

The fabrication facility is based on a 42 hectare property in Vanderbijlpark, with 65 000m² under cover, and has a production capacity of 4 000 tonnes per month. State-of-the-art equipment includes CNC drilling and punching lines, automatic welding machines, shot blasting and painting facilities. Overhead cranes service all the bays; each of the two 100 tonne cranes in the extra heavy bay has a 200 tonne lifting capacity.
